On the plus side, when it works it's fast. I can workaround things at present, but I believe they're busy working on potential fixes. I believe the need to synchronise the folder in Lightroom and the resultant 'orphaned' TIFF is a known issue arising with external mode from certain host apps - a roll-back is advised.ĭisplaced image previews after processing. app crashes/ sometimes previews are displaced after processing until a refresh is forced). I've reported a few 'snags' of varying significance, both on the Forum and via Support (e.g. Two versions of Topaz -one for RAW files and the other for TFF, DNG or Jpeg. It depends if you drag a RAW file into DeNosie or if you use the Edit in DeNoise command. This also happened before the 3.4.1 update.

Now I get this command which I had before the 3.4.1 update and it opened the edited TIFF beside the original RAW.Īlso a second icon appeared.

Did my Mac maintenance, rebooted the Mac and reinstalled 3.4.1. It showed TopazDeNoise.lrtemplate which I deleted. Using spotlight (Mac) I found anything else and deleted that as well. I only have one file selected but it synced a bunch of previous edits and doubled the folder size.ģ.4.1 did uninstall the previous version but I think something went wrong. I have to switch to the Library Module, select the folder and use Synchronize Folder command. In the Export box I select TIFF and back in LR a TIFF opens but there is no NR applied. That only happened when I dragged the RAW directly into DeNoise and it opened as a RAW file. I send as a TIFF and it opens as a TIFF in DeNoise.Īfter editing I use Save command in DeNoise.

In LrC I select the file and use the "Edit in Topaz DeNoise" command. If you want to use ON1 Nonoise with the RAW file, it has to be used first. If you want to use Lightroom's profiles and presets, it has to be used first. If you want to use Denoise AI with the RAW file, it has to be used first. If you want to use DxO, it has to be used 1st with the RAW file. So for right now, I see no way to do this.Īnd of course, this opens a problem. And if you then import the result into Lightroom, the demosaicing is already done and Lightroom is not going to attempt to use the profiles. But that method doesn't use any of Adobe's camera profiles.Īnd with Denoise AI, if you drag the RAW into it, then Lightroom is not aware of what you are doing. Only the Sony file.ĭxO has a way to use Plug-in Extras from Lightroom so that when it returns, it shows up in Lightroom. From Topaz site and they show both Canon and Sony as examples but never opens Canon back in LrC. This says you can but only the Sony file works. No, there is no way to have this happen right now. Anything significant? I see it still won’t allow access to Adobe and Camera profiles if you drag a file In as a RAW and then Save back into LR.
